Kids4WCK Update: Shopping For Beads & Making Samples!

Hi! It’s Isha again!

So this weekend my sisters and I went shopping for beads, string, and everything else we needed to start making bracelets, and it was a blast!

The shop that we went to had every color and type of bead that you could think of, but since we already knew what colors we needed, it was just down to picking what type of beads we wanted to use.

There were so many different kinds of beads that we could choose from, in all different sizes. We knew the colors that we needed but that still left us with a lot to choose from. We wanted to get something that wouldn’t be too uncomfortable, and not too big or too little.

That’s when we found two perfect options for shape and size: Jade and Lapis beads. The store even had signs saying what each of these crystals meant, and it turns out that their meanings were perfect too! Jade is for peace and balance, and Lapis is for friendship and harmony in relationships, which are exactly what we’re wanting to send to all of the Ukrainian people.

After that, all that was left was making the jewelry, but with my sisters there to help it wasn’t that hard at all. We made a bunch of samples in different sizes, with different color combinations. We even added charms to some of them!

Check out our collections page to see all of the different versions that we made!
